Less Tough Rough

Over the past 6 weeks, substantially progress was made in eliminating some of the nastiest, thorniest rough on the Course.

  • Hole 2 - The left side of the last quarter of the fairway was widened by 5 yards.

  • Hole 5 - An extensive greenbriar patch and other thorny plants were removed from the right side where discs that hit an early tree on the right side of the fairway often end up.

  • Hole 6 - All thorny plants were removed from the rough on left side after the initial big tree.

  • Hole 8 - All thorny plants were removed from the first 5 yards of rough on the right side from shortly after the White Tee until about 2/3ds of the way down the fairway.

  • Hole 9 - All thorny plants were removed from the rough on both sides between the Blue Tee and until the remnant of the stone wall after the swamp.

  • Hole 10 - All thorny plants were removed from the right side of the rough starting from the stone wall.

  • Hole 13 - The thorny patch on the left side at top of the hill about a third of the way up the fairway from the Blue Tee was removed.
