On April 11, Hole 18 was switched over to a new hole design. The Blue Tee position remains the same, but the White and Red Tees and the basket have been moved. The new hole is now a par 4 that plays to the far right end of the existing fairway (to the right of the swamp), diagonally across the gas main right-of-way, to a basket about 10 yards into the woods on the other side of the right-of-way. The hole is 399' long from the Blue Tee, 303' from the White, and 243' from the Red. The first part of the hole on the old fairway is fairly flat, while the part of the hole that goes across the right-of-way is moderately uphill. One of the main virtues of the new hole is that the seasonal swamp is no longer in play.
